Hull charged for surrounding ref

London - Hull has been charged by the English Football Association after its players hounded a referee following a decision during a Premier League game.

The charge was handed down Wednesday, a day after the governing body said clubs have been warned about their players' on-field behavior after what the FA called a "scary" rise in the number of cases where referees are surrounded.

The FA charge relates to an incident in Hull's match at Leicester on Saturday, when players protested against referee Jonathan Moss' call to give Hull defender Alex Bruce a yellow card for a foul in the 68th minute.

The FA says Hull failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

Hull has until Monday to respond.
