Cape Town - West Ham United have joined the race together with Everton and Arsenal to sign free-agent Gareth Barry.
The 33-year-old Manchester City midfielder is out of contract at the Etihad, and is looking to sign a new deal elsewhere.
According to the Daily Express, Everton have reportedly offered Barry about £50,000 a week, while Arsenal’s deal is similar. While Barry would obviously like to be at a high profile club, he knows his playing opportunities would be more limited at the Emirates.
Everton and West Ham will both offer more regular playing time and with the Hammers looking to push their deal closer to £65,000 a week, it seems the East London club may be leading the race to land the midfielder.
