Cape Town - West Ham are reportedly ready to make a move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
According to reports, Manchester City are ready to let go of the England man, valued at around £7m, and City manager Manuel Pellegrini is looking to finalise a deal for Richards before the end of the summer transfer window.
The 25 year old may relish a move to Upton Park as he seeks more of regular first team action and would be the Hammers' number one defensive player.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce will have been happy with his side’s win away at managerless Crystal Palace on the weekend but may well feel his defence could do with added strength in depth and Richards may be a good cut-price option to consider.
