Gunners chase Schar

Cape Town - Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reportedly turned his transfer attention to Swiss defender Fabian Schar.

The Daily Star report that Fabian Schar is wanted by Arsenal to solve their defensive woes.

Schar joined Swiss side Basel in 2012 and has made steady progress in both club and international ranks.

The 22-year-old defender is now been considered by Wenger as a solution to his problems at the heart of the defence.

Schar was part of the Swiss World Cup squad in Brazil earlier in the year.

Reports suggest the Gunners will need to offer £10 millon to convince Basel to part with the defender.
