Cape Town - French striker Bafetimbi Gomis admits it "is possible"
he could be on his way out of Swansea City as he is upset with his
limited playing time since moving to Wales, reports Football411.
The former Lyon forward has scored only one goal in his 19 appearances for the Swans, and he has been frustrated with his role in the team.
"I have been approached by clubs," he told Canal Plus. "I expected to play games, I came here with ambition. I have to think about what has happened. I don't know what will happen. At my age, it is difficult to accept spending time on the bench."
Swansea recently sold star striker Wilfried Bony to Manchester City, freeing up space in the starting XI for Gomis. But the France international is still disappointed he didn’t get the chance to play alongside the Ivorian, saying "it was planned that we would play up front together but it didn't happen".
Despite his comments, Swansea manager Gary Monk expects the striker to remain Wales, and now considers the former Saint-Etienne player to be his first choice centre-forward.
"Bafe has the shirt and it's his to lose," Monk has said. "I have no reservations he will produce for us. Bafe is a different striker, but a top-quality one. He's proven that throughout his career and to myself, even if he hasn't had the game time he would have liked."
Swansea will be looking to bounce back from their 5-0 humiliation against Chelsea when they face Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, before another tough Premier League game against Southampton on February 1.
