Cape Town - Manchester United may be put up for sale according to reports in England with the Glazer family considering selling the club.
It will take £3 billon to purchase the Glazer family stake in the Old Trafford club, according to Business Day Online.
The club will reportedly be put up for sale with the Glazers having set their asking price but may be tempted to part with the club should they receive an offer in the region of £2 billon.
According to the Daily Mail, the Glazers will first attempt to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club and then call time as owners of the world's biggest football club.
Carlo Ancelotti has attempted to pour cold water on the continued speculation that CR7 could leave Real Madrid in the summer. He said: “I can’t imagine Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo."
"These are meaningless rumours. He is really happy to be at Real Madrid and Madrid fans are very happy with him,” said the Real Madrid manager.
Manchester United are expected to offer anything between £60 and £80 million for the 29-year-old player with wages expected to reach as much as £20 million a year.
