Cape Town - After securing their spot back in the top flight of English football, Leicester City are targeting Argentinian Esteban Cambiasso as the player to sign in order to keep them there.
With over 500 games to his name and released by Inter Milan, Cambiasso is being linked with a move to Leicester according to the Mirror.
Leicester City appear to have beaten fellow English Premiership side West Ham and La Liga club Valencia to the singing of Argentinian great.
West Ham reportedly wanted the midfielder to come for a trial in London while Valencia have lost out due to the player's desire to play in England.
The 34-year-old midfielder has been offered a two year deal with Nigel Pearson's side.
Cambiasso spent ten seasons with Inter Milan before being labelled surplus to requirements at the San Siro while the defensive midfielder made over 50 international caps for Argentina.
