London - Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and skipper Nemanja Vidic landed the Premier League manager and player of the season awards on Friday.

Ferguson led United to their 12th Premier League title, and 19th English league success overall, plus the Champions League final while centre-back Vidic has been key in United's defence.

Ferguson, 69, lands the top manager award from the Premier League sponsors for a ninth time, while 29-year-old Vidic has now been named player of the season twice in his United career.

Nemah who?- player of the seasons- for the second time! The guy would not make my local school /15 side Is this maybe a barometer of the state of english football? Across the channel this guy would have to pay for a place on the bench...

DUDE!!! What are you on about, the guy is a rock at the back and captained United to the EPL.

@Louis...stick to rugby, boet because you clearly know stuff-all about football!! Across the channel only Barcelona have been able to match Man Utd and this is largely due to Vidic's magnificent season. Also I think the adjudicators of this award probably know a little more about football than some South African named Louis!!!

well said louis, united have an average xi compared to barcelonas world star xi. the final is gonna be football lesson part 2-after 2009 rome of course. united will follow in the footsteps of all their epl counterparts in europe this season. messi 3 - 0 mufc. rooney will rant like a 4 year old and get a red card.

hehehe ok ok I know mr vidic has some fans. Lets do a bit of a challenge...bookmark this page and come back after the UEFA final then we talk again about how Villa fooled him, Xavi tricked him, Messi bamboozled him, how Iniesta ran rings around him and just for good measure how ole man Puyol ran right over him. Then again - maybe he gets lucky and somebody steps on his foot whilst hes watching the Blackpool game?

      DILLIGAS - 2011-05-21 19:25

Louis, you d00s....all those guys play in the Spanish League and this award was for the ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE. Everyone thought a young Barcelona side would get murdered by United two years ago and that didn't happen....Those same idiots wrote off United's chances in the EPL this year cos Ferguson only signed one player, and look where their predictions got them..careful of making flipping dumb predictions in a game of so many variables...PS Barcelona lost their last to La Liga games!!

Loius: This topic is about 2 EPL awards won by 2 Man UTD guys, not about Barca. Now take your tablets.

have you noticed how the EPL man of the series was trying to feel if he has balls whilst standing totally mezmerized in front of goal and Messi scored missing him with less than a foot? the ball did hit the back of the net before he managed to succeed in his quest as to establish his own manhood btw. Now i take it you are still going to tell me he is the rock of gibraltar? he was too bloody frightened to put his body on the line in a UEFA cup final! player of the season my...
