Fergie invests in SA company

Cape Town - Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has invested in a South African beverage company, reports the Cape Argus.

Ferguson bought a 10% stake in the company BOS, an organic ice tea company that blends rooibos tea with natural fruit flavours and ingredients like gingko bilobo and ginseng.

Ferguson was quoted as saying he was delighted to be part of this exciting brand coming out of South Africa.

He said he believed the Cape Town-based beverage had great potential to become a local as well as international market player and said there was a great story behind it.

BOS founder Grant Rushmore said the company was proud to be associated with Ferguson.

Remgro’s VenFin has also bought a 20% stake in the company.
