Cape Town - Injured Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been reassured that there is a role for him in Louis van Gaal's side.
The Daily Star report that the 26-year-old midfielder will be at Old Trafford for the long term.
Linked with a move to Napoli for much of the summer transfer window, Fellaini was ruled out with an ankle injury which ended any chance of a move to the Serie A. The Belgian player has now been told he has a job to do at the Red Devils.
Sidelined for another three weeks, the midfielder received a boost when van Gaal reportedly assured the player he is in his plans.
Fellaini is expected to compete with Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Daley Blind for a spot in the midfield.
