Falcao's permanent deal on ice

Cape Town - Radamel Falcao's recovery from a serious knee injury may scupper plans for a permanent move to Manchester United.

Manchester United are having serious doubts about the long-term fitness of Colombian striker Radamel Falcao according to the Daily Mail.

Despite undergoing a rigorous medical ahead of his deadline day loan move, the striker reportedly has to ice his left knee after every training session and match to prevent swelling.

Falcao has missed the last three fixtures for the Red Devils due to a calf injury adding to the United medical staff's concerns that the star forward is not up to the physicality of the English game.

Louis van Gaal has also warned Falcao that he could face time on the bench after the Dutch coach changed the United formation back to a one striker system.

Falcao posted this picture on Instagram, after the league match against Everton, which confirms that he is forced to ice his knee:

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
