London -  Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is set to return from a three-month injury layoff Saturday against Manchester City.

The midfielder has not played since December 21 when his knee was injured in a tackle by fellow Spain international Xabi Alonso in a 1-1 draw against Liverpool in the Premier League.

"Cesc is ready to play again, but he needs three games to be back at his best," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said on Thursday. "We are due to play eight games in 25 days, which are all decisive."

Arsenal is looking to remain in the top four in the Premier League to ensure qualification for the Champions League.

Winger Theo Walcott and striker Emmanuel Adebayor will also be back in Arsene Wenger's squad for Saturday's match.

Walcott picked up a knee problem last month before the international break after being out for four months with a shoulder injury.

Adebayor scored on his first game back since the start of February with a hamstring injury in Togo's victory over Cameroon in a World Cup qualifier at the weekend.
