Cape Town - Each round of the 2010/11 English Premiership season, a panel of Sport24 tipsters have a crack at predicting the results – do it yourself, if you like, and see how your scoreboard compares with ours in the report-back a week later.
Three precious points are given for an entirely correct score-line, and one for right result.
Compiled by Rob Houwing (the champion last season but a Newcastle supporter for his sins), the others are colleagues Garrin Lambley (very Everton-partial), David Brooke (Manchester United) and Dominic Valentine (Liverpool).
We occasionally invite guest tipsters; watch this space.
THE PRIME ATTRACTION
MANCHESTER UNITED v CHELSEA
Sunday, 17:10
Crunch time in the Premiership, with only an upset Chelsea win at Old Trafford likely to turn the last couple of weeks into a period of real drama – anything less and United really should coast to the title. Although they did surrender the equivalent fixture last season (there was a questionable Drogba winner), the Red Devils have been subsequently buoyed by seeing off the Blues each time in their two-leg Champions League showdown more recently. Two of us tip the nervy draw, whilst Dave and Dom fancy the home win to all but wrap up title business.
Rob: Manchester United 0 Chelsea 0
Garrin: 1-1
David: 2-0
Dominic: 1-0
Last season: 1-2
THE GRUDGE MATCH
MANCHESTER CITY v TOTTENHAM
Tuesday, 20:45
This is not far off a carbon copy of the Eastlands fixture last season: it was also late in the campaign, and was effectively a decider for which of the two would play lucrative Champions League football in 2010/11. Then, gangly Peter Crouch’s precious late header settled the encounter 1-0 in the visitors’ favour. Circumstances are pretty similar this time, even if Spurs are a long shot for the prime Euro competition now as they have slipped to sixth, behind resurgent Liverpool. I fancy City to nick it this time, in a revenge gesture, and David concurs -- while also tipping plenty of goals.
Rob: Manchester City 1 Tottenham 0
Garrin: 1-1
David: 3-2
Dominic: 1-1
Last season: 0-1
THE DESPERATE DUEL
WEST HAM v BLACKBURN
Saturday, 16:00
It’s make-or-break stuff for the once-illustrious Hammers, still rooted to the bottom and needing to make a dramatic move fast – remember that the bottleneck is such that a win might put them in with a good chance of avoiding the drop altogether. Visitors Blackburn, however, have a bit to play for as well – a win in London would clinch their ongoing Premiership status. I have a feeling in my bones that desperation will drive West Ham to a vital win, even if the men from Lancashire come off a decent home win against Bolton.
Rob: West Ham 1 Blackburn 0
Garrin: 1-1
David: 2-0
Dominic: 1-1

LEADERBOARD
A rather uneventful week for the tipsters, considering that nobody really set the house alight, and there was no shuffling of personnel on the ladder, either. Of course if you are the leader then a boring, “status quo” sort of situation suits you fine as the Premiership weekends very rapidly run out! But I also concede that the race actually remains very much alive ...
