Everton want Atsu on loan

Cape Town - Everton are wanting to take another Chelsea youngster on loan as Roberto Martinez looks to build on last season's success.

According to the Daily Mail, Roberto Martinez is eyeing a loan deal for Ghanaian youngster Christian Atsu, a pacey left winger, who joined Chelsea in 2013.

Everton will be aware that a deal bringing Atsu to the club on loan would mean that Romelu Lukaku could only join Everton on a permanent deal. FA regulations prevent two players from the same club joining another club on loan.

Both Aston Villa and Celtic are interested in the player but Everton will be hoping that the good relations between the two clubs will see Atsu join the Toffees for the 2014/15 season.

Atsu spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in Holland and Chelsea might want  to send him out on loan in England in order to test himself in the top-flight of English soccer.

Atsu was involved in Ghana's Soccer World Cup campaign and started the side's opening game against the USA.
