Manchester - Manchester United defender Jonny Evans claims confidence has been restored among his team-mates ahead of their meeting with West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday.
United were on the end of a chastening 4-1 defeat against Manchester City at Eastlands last weekend.
But David Moyes' men were given a massive lift on Wednesday as Javier Hernandez bagged the winner in a 1-0 victory over hated rivals Liverpool in the League Cup third round.
That disciplined performance was much needed after a serious of let-downs in big games this season and Evans expects it to provide the impetus for United to go on a winning run.
"We had no complaints really after the City game," Evans said. "Everyone was honest in their assessment that we didn't apply ourselves the way we should.
"Obviously it was hurtful for fans, the manager and the players and you have to move on quickly from it and we have.
"The manager made quite a few changes against Liverpool but that's the beauty of having a big squad. He can rotate like he did and the lads who came in played well.
"We dug in well. We didn't play as well as we might have wanted to, but it can be like that against Liverpool, it's more blood and thunder."
Evans also said Hernandez's return to goal-scoring form was a timely boost for United.
Hernandez opened his account for the season, but has yet to start a Premier League game under United manager David Moyes having twice come off the bench in recent weeks.
However, with Netherlands striker Robin van Persie doubtful for the visit of West Brom, the Mexico international may get his chance.
And Evans says if Hernandez, nicknamed 'Chicharito', is picked by Moyes he will pose a significant threat to the West Brom defence.
"Chicharito scored a brilliant goal against Liverpool," Evans said.
"His movement was unbelievable to get away from his marker. We know what he's like day in, day out in training.
"You've always got to be aware of him, he only needs a yard to get a goal. He just loves scoring goals.
"He's that type of lad - you saw that against Stoke a couple of years ago when he finished it with the back of his head. As long as he puts it in the goal, he's happy."
United manager Moyes is set to recall midfielders Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick for the clash with the Baggies after they were cup-tied and rested against Liverpool respectively, while Tom Cleverley is back in contention after a knock.
West Brom captain Chris Brunt has been ruled out, but head coach Steve Clarke insisted they will play without fear against the Premier League champions.
Midfielder Brunt is out with a groin injury but Clarke is more hopeful over Nicolas Anelka and Victor Anichebe who missed the penalty defeat by Arsenal in the League Cup on Wednesday.
"I don't think Chris will make it and hopeful Victor and Nicolas will train on Friday," said Clarke.
"We go there with no fears, we have had two good away performances and go their positively.
"I watched them last Sunday, I was really impressed by Manchester City but Manchester United have already bounced back from their reverse against Liverpool, that's what the top teams do.
"We only think about West Brom. We don't go with any fear, we go there with positivity and will try to win."
The match will be Clarke's 50th in charge of West Brom and he added: "I've enjoyed the 50 games, I'm not sure if that's enough to make a good career and look forward to the next 50."
