English League Cup results

London - Manchester City breezed past Sunderland and into the fourth round of the League Cup on Tuesday, courtesy of goals from leading trio Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling as well as own goal by Vito Mannone.

There were also wins on the night for Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Stoke City, Bournemouth and Everton.

Swansea crashed out after a 1-0 defeat away to Hull - a club relegated from the Premier League last season.

West Ham United were knocked out away at Leicester after extra time.
