Cape Town - According to Gazetta dello Sport, Manchester United have made an official bid of €40m for Fiorentina player Juan Guillermo Cuadrado.

Liverpool and Barcelona have held "productive talks" over the potential transfer of Luis Suarez, according to Skysports.

Manchester United have been told they can sign midfield target William Carvalho this summer - but he will cost them £37m.

Everton are confident of sealing a deal for unsettled Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Reports in Italy suggest that Manchester City will have to pay €38million to snare Roma centre-back Mehdi Benatia.

According to The Guardian Scotland Under-21 international midfielder Ryan Gauld, nicknamed “Baby-Messi” by team-mates, has completed a remarkable transfer from Dundee United to Sporting Lisbon for an undisclosed fee. The 5ft 6in 18-year-old, who made his United debut in May 2012, has agreed a six-year deal with the Portuguese club, with the contract including a €60m buy-out clause.

Mirko Vucinic will leave Juventus with signing a deal with Al Jazeera a club in the United Arab Emirates reports Gazetta dello Sport.

Steve Bruce is closing in on the signing of Tottenham Hotspur defender Micheal Dawson for 5m in order to bolster up Hull City’s defence as they feature in the Europa in the upcoming season.
