James Rodriguez admits that he hopes to grace La Liga at some stage in the future, Skysports reports. The 22-year-old, who is currently on the books at Monaco, the Colombian says he would favour Real Madrid over Barcelona.

Vitesse Arnhem have confirmed that Christian Atsu will not be returning for a second loan spell as he has other options to consider says Skysports. Chelsea signed the 22 year old back in 2013 but immediately sent him out on loan. It is considered that he might return to Stamford Bridge but will be way down in the pecking order as Jose Mourinho rejuvenates his squad.

A verbal agreement has been reached between Sao Paolo and Orlando City for the Brazilian outfit to take Kaka on loan until the end of the year according to Skysports.

Liverpool are chasing Benfica's £25million-rated star Lazar Markovi and are also desperate to finalise a deal for Switzerland winger Xherdan Shaqiri, according to the Daily Star.

Celtic assistant manager John Collins says there have been no bids for defender Virgil van Dijk, who has been linked with the likes of Southampton and Sevilla.

After signing Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw within 48 hours last week, Louis Van Gaal might be tempted to bring in Nigel De Jong who is part of his current Dutch crop and is worth 10m according to The Guardian.

No joke as the Daily Mirror reports that Barcelona insists on a “bite clause” if they were to land Luis Suarez for £40m in a five year deal which the Uruguayan will earn £160 000 a week. And with John W Henry seriously contemplating on the forward’s future, Liverpool will be offered Alexis Sanchez as well a player cash deal as the Catalan club are eager to land Suarez.

Sami Khedira is on Arsenal watch list as the Daily Mirror understands that the London club is preparing a £23m bid. Arsene Wenger also has interest in Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.

Now that the Southampton have a £60m kitty so far with the offloading Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Ricky Lambert to Manchester United and Liverpool respectively, Roland Koeman has set his eyes on Graziano Pellè from his former club Feyenoord.

Liverpool have fought off late interest from West Ham and Spurs to hold on to Belgian World Cup striker Divock Origi. The Reds are understood to have agreed terms with the player after a £9.8million bid.

According to the Daily Mirror Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will make Swansea left back Ben Davies his first signing after getting the green light to talk to him.
