Di Maria to follow RVP out of United?

Cape Town - Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has refused to distance his club's record signing from a sensational exit this summer.

Manchester Evening News reports that Paris St Germain are set to speed up their bid to sign the Argentina star.

While Van Gaal insists Di Maria will link up with the squad on their pre-season tour of North America, the Dutch coach says he "cannot answer" questions regarding the £59.7 million signing.

“I cannot answer that. You can ask every time, but it’s a process, what I’m always saying, and when we think we shall have to say something I shall say it.” Van Gaal told reporters when pressed for an answer regarding PSG's interest in Di Maria.

The Ligue 1 giants are reportedly preparing a £45m offer for the former Real Madrid star.

In June, Di Maria rubbished talks he could quit Old Trafford after only one season. (Read that article HERE!)

Van Gaal's latest comments about Di Maria are similar to his comments during talk that Robin van Persie could quit the club to join Fenerbahce.

At the time, Van Gaal said:  “When we feel he is gone, you will hear from Manchester United. We don’t have that feeling yet.”
