Di Maria blow for United

Cape Town - Manchester United's hopes of signing Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid have been dashed after reports suggest the Argentine has instructed his agent to tie up his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

Di Maria, who was spotted having lunch with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and general manager Jose Angel Sanchez in an effort to discuss the transfer details, was one of Louis van Gaal's main targets this summer.

The Argentina star has agreed a deal with the French capital club which will earn him £130,000-a-week after tax for five seasons.
