Cape Town - Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne is set to be the subject of a transfer war between Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to the Daily Mirror, the talented right back is wanted by Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal.
With Manchester United desperate for cover at right back following the dismal form of Rafael, Clyne has been identified as a top summer target for the rebuilding of Manchester United.
Chelsea are also interested in Clyne, who at 23-years-old, is one of the best young defenders in the English game.
Clyne would also add another homegrown player to either squad.
The right back would reportedly cost a potential suitor £15 million - the same amount he signed for in 2012 - due to his contract expiring at the end of next season.
The same source reports that Clyne "is in no rush to sign a new contract and looks set to assess his options in the summer."
Clyne has become an integral part of the Saints backline, featuring in all but two league fixtures this season.
