Cape Town - Out of contract in the summer, Tom Cleverley has given the biggest hint yet that he could stay on permanently at Aston Villa.
Cleverley, on loan from Manchester United, is currently enjoying a purple patch under Tim Sherwood which has seen the midfielder deployed further up the field.
"I've really got to like playing for this club in the last few months," Cleverley said, according to the Express.
"This manager, you have to give him credit for getting me where I am over the last few weeks.
"First and foremost you have to be playing at a club where you fit in, where you're playing in the position where you want to play and where you like the manager, the lads. This club ticks those boxes. I'm happy.
"All players have doubts when they're having a not so good patch. I'm no different, but I've got my head down and worked hard. With the help of the lads and the new manager I can get back to my best."
Cleverley has scored three goals in his last three league outings.
