Cape Town - Manchester City have agreed to let Javi García leave the club after the player failed to impress after two seasons with the English Premiership giants.
The Guardian report that Zenit St Petersburg have won the race to sign the midfielder in a deal worth £13 million.
After two seasons in Manchester and failing to secure regular first team football, Javi Garcia's time in the English Premiership has come to an end.
Andre Villas-Boas, the Zenit boss, is delighted to bring Garcia to the Russian giants and the player will reportedly be confirmed as a signing as soon as Wednesday, August 13.
Garcia's place in the City squad was in doubt after Fernando's arrival from Porto and with the Manchester club playing in the Champions League with a UEFA-enforced reduced squad number, Manuel Pellegrini has decided to cash in on the player.
