Cape Town - Manchester City striker Samir Nasri will make his return from injury tonight when the Citizens face Newcastle United in the Capital One fourth-round tie at the Etihad.
Nasri has been out injured since September after having to undergo groin surgery, and last featured in City's 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
According to the Daily Star, manager Manuel Pellegrini has not yet decided on his starting line-up, and while Nasri's return will be a massive boost, the French striker is still not ready for a full 90-minute game.
"I haven’t decided yet the starting line-up. Samir is just coming back from an important injury.
"Maybe he’s not ready for 90 minutes but I am sure he will have some minutes against Newcastle."
Meanwhile, Pellegrini is still without midfielder Frank Lampard who is set to miss both the cup tie and the Manchester Derby over the weekend.
"I don’t think this weekend he will be fit but maybe next week he can be," said the Chilean.
