Cape Town - Chelsea have slapped a £73 million price-tag on their Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The Independent report that Real Madrid could be interested in a move for Courtois.

Speculation in Spain has increased in recent weeks that Real Madrid could make a move for the Chelsea number one.

While the player is reportedly happy at the Blues, he does wish to return to La Liga at some stage after enjoying his time on loan at Atletico Madrid.

In order to fight off interest from Real Madrid, the league champions have now specified the huge asking price for Courtois' services.

Any deal for Courtois seems unlikely with the player having recommitted his future to the London club last season by signing a five-year extension.
