Chelsea boss Mourinho fined

London - The Football Association said on Thursday it had fined Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho 8 000 pounds for improper conduct during a defeat by Aston Villa last month.

Mourinho went onto the pitch to remonstrate with referee Chris Foy after Ramires was sent off and was sent to the stands.

An Independent Regulatory Commission hearing rejected Mourinho's denial of the charge and warned him as to his future conduct.

Mourinho also criticized Foy's performance after the match.
