Liverpool - Australian midfielder Tim Cahill is ready to commit the rest of his career to Everton by signing a new four-year contract with the Premier League club, he said on Tuesday.
Cahill, 30, has two years remaining on his present contract and is in advanced discussions with the club over a deal that would tie him to Goodison Park for the remainder of his top-level career.
Everton hope to reach an agreement with the former Millwall player before he leaves for next month's World Cup in South Africa.
Cahill, who has scored 56 goals in 201 games for the Toffees, told evertontv: "The chairman knows my thoughts, I will sign here for life.
"He knows my thoughts on what I love about this club. I respect everyone so much and hopefully I am here for a long time."
