Bent set for EPL exit

Cape Town - Aston Villa's record signing Darren Bent is expected to leave the English Premiership on loan move to Championship side Brighton.

The Express report that the out of favour striker will be joining Brighton on a short-term loan deal.

Brighton are currently struggling in the first division of English football but are expected to bring in a striker capped 13 times by England.

Despite arriving on a club record deal in 2011, Bent has been unable to convince Paul Lambert of his qualities.

Bent spent part of last season on loan at Fulham.

He signed for £24 million from Sunderland.
