Johannesburg - Benni McCarthy is officially a West Ham United player as from today (Saturday) according to his agent, Rob Moore. The now ex-Blackburn Rover striker has received his permit and secured the muched talked about signing.
As reported by the by the Siya crew on Thursday, McCarthy was to conclude the R 27.6 million deal after having completed his medical however the deal was unable to be finalised due to a hold-up with the his permit. McCarthy’s previous permit was due to expire in 18 months as his Blackburn contract came to an end.
With the 2010 FIFA World Cup approaching the Bafana Bafana striker will be looking at getting as much game time as possible for the Hammers as head coach Gianfranco Zola works with the striker.
