Bellamy banned by City

Manchester - Craig Bellamy has been banned from Manchester City's training ground pending a transfer, the Guardian reported on Monday.

The forward, who was expected to be one of the names omitted when City name their 25-man squad for the season, has returned to Wales and is expected to train with Cardiff City.

The report comes following several clashes between Bellamy and staff, including manager Roberto Mancini, over the past few days.

He trained with the reserves on Friday, but it is understood he was so disruptive that he has been asked not to return.

The 31-year-old earns 95 000 pounds a week, which is likely to be a sticking point in any move, with City unwilling to subsidise any transfer.

Bellamy is also thought to be interesting Tottenham, Celtic and Sunderland.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
