Cape Town - Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli tweeted an apology after coming under fire for a potentially racist and anti-Semitic picture he posted on his Instagram account.

The Italian deleted the post shortly after and has now issued an apology.
Balotelli claims the post was "meant to be anti-racist with humour" but the striker understands that taking his post "out of context may have the opposite effect".
