Atletico make Reus bid

Cape Town - Atletico Madrid have taken pole position in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star forward Marco Reus after various reports indicate that an official bid has been made.

According to Inside Spanish Football, the La Liga champions have made a €27 million bid Marco Reus.

Reports in Spain are indicating that the Spanish club has entered into negotiations with the Bundesliga giants for the transfer of one of the most coveted players in Germany.

The 25-year-old versatile forward has been linked with a move to many clubs during the off season but there a growing reports that Atletico Madrid are now leading the race.

The German club have constantly denied that the player is for sale and took strong steps to ward off interest from rivals Bayern Munich.

Reus has been linked with a move to England with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United all keen on bringing Reus to the English Premiership.
