Arsenal's Eboue off to Turkey

Ankara - Galatasaray signed Ivory Coast midfielder Emmanuel Eboue from Arsenal on a four-year contract.

Galatasaray announced that Eboue will be paid €2.5 million for the first two years and €2.2 million for the following two, in addition to €10 000 per game. The club also says it will pay Arsenal €3.5 million for the transfer.

Galatasaray finished in eighth place last season, their worst result in years.

Fatih Terim, who has returned to coach Galatasaray for the third time, is trying to strengthen the team with major transfers. The club recently signed Czech Republic international Tomas Ujfalusi from Atletico Madrid, as well as Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
