Arsenal reject Wilshere claims

Cape Town - Arsenal have expressed their disappointment at reports claiming that midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered an injury setback, reports Football411.

The 22-year-old was initially pencilled in for a return to action towards the end of January after undergoing ankle surgery last month.

However, in an article published by The Sun, it was suggested that the England international faced an extra two months on the treatment table.

A club representative has since moved to dispel such notions, saying the midfielder was still on course to make a return to action by February, at the latest.

The representative told Sky Sports News HQ: "We're disappointed with the reports. He's doing well after surgery and he is three months away from a return as originally stated. There's been no setback".
