Arsenal not in for Vidal - reports

Cape Town - Midfielder William Carvalho, and not Juventus' Arturo Vidal, is at the top of Arsenal's transfer list.

Reports of Chile international Arturo Vidal's imminent move to Arsenal are incorrect, according to Evening Standard.

Earlier reports suggesting that a move to Arsenal was 90% complete but news from England suggest the Juventus playmaker is not on Arsenal's transfer list.

Instead, Arsenal will press ahead with a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.

Carvalho is a long-term target for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has seemingly pulled out of the race to sign Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin.
