Cape Town - Arsene Wenger has been offered a deal to sign Mario Balotelli at a bargain which would see Joel Campbell going the other way.

Metro are reporting that AC Milan have offered Mario Balotelli to Arsenal but want Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell to be included in a player plus cash deal.

AC Milan want just £7.9 million plus Joel Campbell for Balotelli. Arsenal had previously denied that they wanted to bring the mercurial striker to the Emirates but this new deal may tempt them into moving for Balotelli.

AC Milan are looking to offload Balotelli this summer as they look to cut costs and are hopeful that Arsenal will be interested in taking the Italian off their hands.

Joel Campbell, who impressed during the Soccer World Cup in Brazil, signed for Arsenal in 2011 but due to work permit issues was unable to join up with the first team squad.

Campbell has spent time on loan with Lorient in France, Real Betis in Spain and Olympiacos in Greece.
