Cape Town - Arsenal are ready to give up their pursuit of Real Madrid's Sami Khedira and will look to fellow Germany national team member Christoph Kramer to bolster their midfield options.
The Daily Star report that Borussia Monchengladbach's on-loan midfielder Christoph Kramer is wanted by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Kramer was a late inclusion in Germany's World Cup final starting eleven following an injury to Sami Khedira and now could be the Gunners replacement target for the Real Madrid midfielder.
Wenger will have to fork out in excess of £20 million for the midfielder, according to British sources.
Kramer recently gave English Premiership clubs hope after admitting he is willing to make the move away from the Bundesliga.
"That [moving abroad] has always interested me." said Kramer.
"I would not be afraid.
"I want to find out what my limit is and I always strive for the very best."
