Ajax set to lose Blind

Cape Town - Manchester United's Dutch manager Louis van Gaal wants to add countryman Daley Blind to his new look Manchester United team.

According to the Daily Mail, Blind's move to Manchester is going to be completed shortly.

Reports have emerged indicating that Blind is training away from the first team since his return from the Soccer World Cup.

Team management has indicated that the 24-year-old is close to leaving the Dutch champions.

"I think Daley Blind will be leaving soon. I have a feeling." said Richard Witschge, the Ajax youth coach before adding "He has been training by himself. I think he has done that because there's something going on".

Blind was a star performer for the Netherlands in Brazil after fitting in with van Gaal's 3-5-2 formation by playing on the left wing or as a defensive midfielder.

Blind is the son of Netherlands assistant manager Danny Blind and has been capped at every age group level for the Dutch.

Daley Blind has featured in the Ajax first team for the last four seasons but appears his time with club is drawing to an end.
