Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a sensational move for Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
According to TheSun.co.uk, Spurs want to take the unsettled striker on loan in the January transfer window with an eye to a possible permanent deal at the end of the season.
A Tottenham insider told the Sun "There is a real chance we could land Manu in the transfer window - although a lot does depend on who pays his wages.
"City expect us to pay the bulk but the big question is how far our board are prepared to go."
The lanky striker earns £160,000 a week - double what anyone else is on at White Hart Lane.
Adebayor netted 14 goals last year but this season his appearances have been limited and there have been reports of a bust-up with coach Roberto Mancini.
