De Sa: Bucs will bounce back

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates head coach Roger de Sa believes his charges will be “even hungrier” when they face Esperance over the weekend.

Speaking to the club's official website, the Bucs mentor is confident that following their 3-1 defeat (on penalties) to Platinum Stars over the weekend, his charges will bounce back in a positive manner.

“We know Esperance is a well organised side,” said RDS. “We will have to prepare well to play against them. We will need better organisation and also be clinical in front of goals but above all, we must also respect them - they are not pushovers.”

He also said that he is confident that his charges will approach this tie with a better focus.

“I have no doubt the guys will go all out and play for a favourable result on Saturday. After the loss in the final, no one will need extra motivation for this one. The guys will come out firing and ready for war.

“Winning at home is vital in this tournament and fortunately for us, nothing in this competition is new to any of our player so - we are okay,” explained RDS.

Bucs and Esperance lock horns at Orlando Stadium on Saturday 5th October. Kick-off is at 19:00.
