Johannesburg - Just two days after ticket sales for the Nedbank Cup final between Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United began, it has been revealed that there are just 5 000 tickets remaining.
According to the PSL, 45 000 tickets for the clash have already been sold for the showpiece on May 25 and the acting CEO, Cambridge Mokanyane, has spoken of his excitement, report the Soccer-Laduma website.
In a statement from the league, Mokanyane said, “This is simply remarkable. To sell more than 45 000 tickets in less than 48 hours is great for our football. We would like to thank those supporters who have already purchased their tickets and urge those who have not to hurry. This is going to be an exciting final.”
The game between the Amakhosi and Matsatsantsa will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on May 25, beginning at 15:00, with Chiefs hoping to complete a league and cup double and SuperSport eager to retain the trophy that they won last season.
