The Springbok squad, which is currently in Durban preparing for their three Tests against the British and Irish Lions, demonstrated their support by having a special photograph taken wearing Bafana shirts – exactly a year ahead of the opening game of the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa.

“The Springboks are fully behind Bafana, as well as the 2010 World Cup in South Africa,” said Bok captain John Smit.

“This tournament will be an important part of their on-going preparations for 2010 and it is important for them to do well against some of the top teams in the world.

“The recent win over Poland was a great start and should give them confidence going into the tournament. We urge all South Africans to get behind the team,” Smit added.
