Chiefs star fined R30 000

The PSL’s disciplinary committee announced on Thursday that Kaizer Chiefs striker, Lehlohonolo Majoro, has been found guilty for contravention of the laws.

In a statement from the league, it was confirmed that Majoro has been ordered to pay, following his admission of guilt for his actions. The former AmaZulu striker put himself in hot water after lifting his jersey displaying the now famous ‘I do have balz’ message, under his Chiefs’ jersey.

“Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kaizer Chiefs FC appeared on charges of contravention of FIFA laws of the game 2011/12 decision 1. Majoro pleaded guilty and was fined R30 000 - R10 000 payable within seven days and remainder suspended for the remainder of the current season and the forthcoming season.

“Chiefs also pleaded guilty and were cautioned. The DC ruled that a written warning must be posted on the club's and PSL websites within 14 days. Majoro will pay pro rata costs of the hearing,” read the league’s statement.
