Chiefs congratulate Pirates

Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs have congratulated Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates for their Telkom Knockout success this past weekend. Pirates claimed the Ziwa Mo title with a 3-1 victory over Bidvest Wits at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night.

Chiefs, last term's winners, suffered a first round exit at the hands of lowly Platinum Stars.

Amakhosi released a statement on their website which read:

'Kaizer Chiefs Football Club would like to congratulate Orlando Pirates for being crowned as Telkom Knockout champions following their emphatic win against Bidvest Wits on Saturday, 10 December 2011 at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

"Congratulations also go (sic) to the supporters who filled the stadium to capacity providing the much needed atmosphere for the final."
