Cape Town - Barcelona
manager Ernesto Valverde insists they do not care who they face in the
last 16 of the UEFA Champions League as they are ready to face anyone.
The Catalans secured their place in the knockout stage of the competition on Tuesday night thanks to a 2-0 victory against Sporting Lisbon which saw them finish top of Group D.
Despite taking top spot in their group, Barca could still face the likes of Chelsea or Bayern Munich in the next stage of the Champions League. However, Valverde is unfazed by the prospect.
"We don't know what could happen in the draw," Valverde said, according to the Express. "We will accept any opponent."
Commenting on the win over Lisbon, Valverde added: "They had to go and try to win, so they waited for time to pass and to then try to beat us with changes.
"Our plan is to dominate matches and to create chances, at the same time as making sure they don't create chances against us.
"We try to do things as well as we can. Sometimes we play wonderfully and sometimes less so."
The UEFA Champions League last-16 draw is set to take place on Monday.
