Sidibe: Juventus don't intimidate us

Cape Town  - Monaco defender Djibril Sidibe insists they are not intimidated by the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Juventus.

The Ligue 1 outfit were beaten 2-0 at home by the Bianconeri in the first leg, but Sidibe has made it clear that his teammates remain determined to give the Serie A giants a run for their money in Turin.

The Juventus Stadium will be packed for the crucial European clash, but Sidibe is looking forward to the challenge after working hard to get into the last four.

“If we are here, it’s because we believe in ourselves and our chances of qualification,” said the full-back, according to Football Italia.

“We lost the first round, but will do everything possible to fight this out to the end. We were disappointed after the first leg and must prove that we’re not finished. We will try to prove our worth.

“This is a competition we care about and we’ve got to try.”

He added: “We played in Dortmund, so certainly don’t fear the Juventus Stadium atmosphere. Everyone aspires to play in a packed stadium and we’re very happy to be here."

The action gets underway at 20:45.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
