Ancelotti excited for PSG return

Cape Town - Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti is looking forward to meeting his former club Paris Saint-Germain in the group stages of the Champions League.

The Bavarians have been pitted against the Parisians in Group B, which also includes Belgian side Anderlecht and Scottish giants Celtic.

"It's an exciting group with great teams, Paris foremost," Ancelotti said. "It's a beautiful story for me personally to meet my former club. We have three different but tough opponents."

Last season’s tournament saw both sides lose out to Spanish opposition, as Bayern were swept aside by Real Madrid and PSG were on the wrong end of a spectacular comeback by Barcelona.

"The draw is very interesting. Paris is a smash," added Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

"I have never played against PSG before and I am looking forward to these matches. And I meet Celtic for the first time, too."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
