Cape Town - Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic refuses to blame the referee following his side's shock 2-1 home loss to CSKA Moscow.
English champions Manchester City face the prospect of a third Champions League group-phase exit in four years after their disastrous loss on Wednesday but Stevan Jovetic is urging his teammates not to dwell on the set-back and move on.
The 25-year-old is quoted by his club's website as saying: "It wasn't good. We didn't play well."
"We lost 2-1 and I don’t know the reason, but we were not the same team that played against United.
"We need to forget this as soon as possible – we have a game against QPR and need to forget this."
Jovetic also refused to blame the referee for the defeat, insisting: "That wasn't the reason we lost.
"I didn't like him, but I can’t speak about that. CSKA played well and congratulations to them. It was difficult when you have a player less, but we just didn't play well."
