Cape Town - Nicola Rizzoli will referee Saturday's Champions League final at Wembley between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Kick-off is at 20:45 SA time.

According to the UEFA website, the 41-year-old Italian, who has been an international referee since 2007, was selected by the UEFA Referees Committee to oversee the final.

Rizzoli has presided over 26 UEFA Champions League games, including four of them this season.

Rizzoli will be assisted by his fellow countrymen Renato Faverani and Andrea Stefani.

The fourth official will be Damir Skomina from Slovenia and the two additional assistant referees, Gianluca Rocchi and Paolo Tagliavento, are from Italy. An Italian reserve assistant referee - Gianluca Cariolato - completes the refereeing team line-up.
