Cape Town - Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Diego Costa will start in the Champions League clash against Sporting, despite ongoing injury concerns.
The Spaniard has struggled with a persistent hamstring niggle thus far this season, with Mourinho even admitting that the striker was barely training.
However, these problems have not stopped Costa from finding the back of the net and he currently leads the Premier League scoring charts with eight goals.
And with Didier Drogba sidelined Mourinho has opted to hand the 25-year-old another start on Wednesday, despite having Loic Remy available, and with a visit from Arsenal coming up on Sunday.
"Diego Costa will start [against Sporting]," the Portuguese said in his pre-match press conference. "Hopefully he plays on Sunday against Arsenal.
"Didier Drogba will be out for a couple of weeks, he has a problem with his ankle and wasn't able to travel."
